Complex Magazine and Nah Right, in honour of last month's NCAA tournament, set up a 64 rapper bracket tournament called STYLE WAR to determine once and for all whose style reigns supreme in the hip-hop world. Everyone from Lupe Fiasco to the Fresh Prince, and Andre 3000 to Pharrell were included in this all-time battle of dapper rappers. After about a month the winner was determined by fans-vote and to no-ones surprise KANYEEZY came away with the style crown beating BIG BROTHER HOV with 77% of the vote. Personally I thought Slick Rick had this one in the bag, but you can't be mad at Mr. West. Except for that shutter shades thing, man you couldn't see shit.

PACMAN KNOWS

With the Pacquiao vs. Hatton fight a little more than a week away, the sportswear juggernaut Nike has released some fresh Pacquiao gear in support of their star-athlete's May 2nd bout. First off are 2 new color-ways (yellow and blue) of the "PACMAN KNOWS" t-shirt, and a pair of Manny Pacquiao inspired Nike Flywire Air Trainer 1's. Only 100 pairs were made and if you're lucky enough to be in the San Francisco or Las Vegas areas be sure to cop these before the adoring Filipino community jumps on them like fresh lechon with sarsa.

UFC 98: RYU vs. BALROG

Well actually its the much-anticipated light heavyweight title bout between undefeated champion "Sugar" Rashad Evans and undefeated challenger Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. The May 23rd bout has the potential to be one of the best light heavyweight fights of the year and I can definitely see this fight going either way. As some people may know, I am quite the fan of the Rashad Evans celebratory "KNOCKED YOU THE F OUT DANCE" (0:38 into his clip) and would love to see it after his fight with Machida. We're not biased here at hypeFEAST in any way so to help you pick a wiener here is Evans' knockout of Chuck Liddell and Machida's last minute knockout of Thiago Silva.

Oh yeah Serra and Hughes are fighting on the card as well, but the real loser of that fight will be the fans.

I know this commercial is pretty old but I decided to post this because of the insane cameos, from DMC to Katy Perry, Young Jeezy to David Beckham and many more. Adidas has made their 60th anniversary official with a dope concept and ad campaign. The track is the background is Madcon's Beggin' for all those wondering.

COUNTDOWN TO PACQUIAO/HATTON

We're less than a month away from the highly anticipated May 2nd bout between Manny "PAC MAN" Pacquiao and Ricky "THE HITMAN" Hatton. The fight has been billed as THE BATTLE OF EAST AND WEST and possibly prove once and for all who is the pound-for-pound king of the boxing world. I'm sure the Filipino community worldwide will be glued to the televisions in their basements on that night. Hopefully we'll all be able to pop those bottles of San Miguel with a win by Pacquiao! Until then, HBO will be presenting their 24/7 series documenting the build-up to their fight.

Started back in '04 with the reuniting of Wu-Tang Clan (even O.D.B. before his death), Rock the Bells has become one of the largest and most anticipated concert series for hip-hop heads and fans of music worldwide. This year's line up, as those of years past never ceases to amaze me: NAS & DAMIEN MARLEY, THE ROOTS, COMMON, REFLECTION ETERNAL, RZA & RAEKWON just to name a few. What Chang Weisberg and Guerilla Union has managed to do in such a short time is historic and for those of you lucky enough to be in the T.O. or VAN CITY this summer, you'd be foolish to pass this opportunity to see this many legends of the game at one place at one time by.

Jarah Mariano is an American fashion model of Hawaiian, Korean, and Chinese descent. She has recently been seen in the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and also played a role in Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got" music video back in 06.

THE WEEKEND THAT WAS YEEZY

The highly anticipated, love 'em or hate 'em, NIKE AIR YEEZY finally dropped this weekend (04/04/09) after months of rumors, sketches, and paparazzi pics circulating the web. This is the first time I've witnessed a shoe get this much attention that weren't a pair of Jordan's. If you're like me and live the lowly life of a student, the closest you'll get to a pair Air Yeezy's is in a daydream in an organic chemistry lecture (like today for instance). To those who lined up outside your favorite neighborhood shops, I applaud you for your dedication and your rather large contribution to the struggling economy. AIR JORDAN = HALL OF FAMER

You would think the G.O.A.T. would have an automatic ticket to the Basketball Hall of Fame the second he hung up his 14's and left the game for good. I guess you can't blame the Hall of Fame committee, I mean Jordan coming back is always a possibility how ridiculous it may sound, but they decided to give number 23 the place in history he rightfully deserves. MJ will be inducted along with all time assists leader JOHN STOCKTON, the Admiral DAVID ROBINSON, and coach JERRY SLOAN as the class of 09. Not too shabby.

What a few weeks of college basketball it has been! If I learned anything from this year's tournament it is this: in a battle between SPARTANS and CARDINALS, pick King Leonidas and company FTW! What was I thinking? Proving to myself a flock of birds could go far in this tournament, number 1 overall seed in the country my ass! Well ahead of me due to my competitive side and placing a bet on this tournament with my cousins: a month of kitchen duty and treating the champion (*sigh) to a meal of epic proportions. FUCK LOUISVILLE (sorry Coach Pitino).

P.S. Calling UCONN vs UNC in the final, UNC WINS CHAMPIONSHIP BY 6 (but how my bracket turned out this year, i wouldn't put any money on this..)
