JUST CALL HIM WALE OVECHKIN

D.C.'s very own and one of my favorite rappers out right now, Wale, was on ESPN's First Take yesterday speaking about everything from his music, the Caps Stanley Cup run, and his homeboy Ovie.

I'm not gonna lie, as a Canadian I should follow hockey more closely, but the only games I watch are the ones Ovechkin are in. No disrespect to a lot of the great players out there, but no one is as exciting and gets you on the edge of your sofa like #8. Sorry Dominique, I think there's a new HUMAN HIGHLIGHT FILM out there, and he does it for the capital/capitol. Don't believe me? Just ask the Rangers.

Oh yeah Ovechkin > Crosby that's right I said it.

THE 2009 TIME 100

TIME magazine has released their 2009 list of The World's 100 Most Influential People. Among the 100 are the likes of President Obama, the guys behind Twitter, and Tiger Woods. The pride of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, makes this year's list in the Heroes & Icons category. My personal favorite, John Legend, also makes it in the top 100 in the Artists and Entertainers category.

LJ23 = MVP

All Lebron and Jordan comparisons must cease immediately. Props to King James for winning the MVP award this season which I couldn't see going to any other player. But once they start pitting stats and accolades of the 2 greatest basketball players of their respective generations it gets me madder than when the Lakers win. In my opinion comparing the two is the equivalent of comparing an ice cream cake to a full tank of gas. Both are good, hell both are amazing in the right context, but its useless in trying to figure out which option is "best". Lebron is Lebron and Jordan is Jordan. Nuff said.

To commemorate King James' achievement, he will be wearing a special "MVP" edition of his Zoom Lebron VI shoe tonight to open up the series against the Hawks. Fans at the Q will also be receiving limited edition "Witness MVP" shirts. These items will be available at House of Hoops locations in the States and Nikestore.com online.
