R.I.P. MJ

It didn't matter who you were growing up, all of us wanted to be like one of these MIKES. Being a 90's baby I didn't get to experience the Thriller Era, unfortunately most of my memories of Michael came from the news headlines rather than the music charts. Court dates, allegations, baby dangling and a whole lot of other stuff aside, Michael Jackson will live on as the greatest entertainer of this lifetime.

Take notes.

2009 NBA CHAMPIONS + PHIL JACKSON GOES 10 DEEP

Love them or hate them yeah yeah I'm sure you've all heard The Game's song. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers for winning their 15th title in franchise history. I even have to give it up to you know who, showing everyone why he's the best as what he does bringing the Bill Russel MVP award home.

I especially want to shout out one of the greatest coaches in all of sports, Phil Jackson, for winning his 10th NBA championship passing Red Auerbach of the Celtics for most all time by a head coach. 6 with the Bulls and now 4 with the Lakers, the man has done it all. Michael and Kobe know where its at. Respect.

BLACK MAMBA VS. SUPERMAN

The NBA Finals are in full swing and today EA Sports announced their cover athlete for NBA Live 10 as none other than Dwight Howard. Last week 2K Sports with the help of Spike Lee announced their cover athlete to be former MVP Kobe Bryant. The past few years NBA 2K > NBA Live although some may disagree. I grew up with the Live franchise, my first PS game was NBA Live 98 with Tim Hardaway on the cover, and at the time I thought this was the greatest game ever made. So gamers and basketball fans out there will just have to wait and see which title will reign supreme.
